PMINZ National Conference 2012
PMI New Zealand invites all current and aspiring project managers, leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians, students and anyone with an active interest in project management to register for the 18th PMINZ Conference to be held on 24-26 September, 2012 at the Wellington Convention Centre.
The PMINZ conference is a platform for professionals to gather together and share knowledge, experience and professional camaraderie, and recognise professional excellence via the PMINZ 4th Annual Awards.
As we all know, project management is not only about costs, schedules and deliverables. It's about people. It's about walking the tightrope, putting all the pieces of the jigsaw together, pulling everything into an integrated whole. So this time round, we focus on the "Faces and Facets of Project Management".
Faces - all the people who deliver, drive and are impacted by projects
Facets - all the different aspects of project management - frameworks, methodologies, strategy, tools and techniques, risks, constraints...the list is endless.
"Connect, collaborate and integrate", is the slogan for the conference. This is what brings the faces and facets together. Managing difficult stakeholders, managing different personalities, new tools and techniques, key skills for project managers, building effective teams, managing crisis, communication - these and many more exciting topics are the flavour of this year's conference.
The 2012 conference promises a great line up of master classes, thought provoking papers, interactive workshops and panel discussions by some great international and domestic keynote speakers and presenters. Award winners from past years will also be sharing their learning and experiences at the conference.
Site visits include a peek into project management in the world of theatre. And learning what goes into making a good barista at a leading café - for what better way is there of connecting than brainstorming over a good cup of coffee? In addition, some key players in the market will be showcasing their products and services.
